Exhausted, lost and I thought I knew everything but could not help myself out of the extra weight I gained when I became a Mom.
I have worked in the health and fitness industry for over 18 years. I began my career in Health Promotion working in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Corporate Wellness with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina.
I took a break from my career to start a family and now have three wonderful children. After the birth of my children, like many moms, my health and fitness became an afterthought. Igained 75 pounds very quickly and life became exhausting, a long way off the path of wellness I once was on and that I had taught other people.
I started my “NEW” journey back to wellness with my “OLD" tactics. I was counting calories and exercising two hours a day and was starving and tired. Needless to say that just didn’t work, I did not have the time or energy to keep up.
I needed a change! I found a new way to look at moving and nutrition with the Primal Lifestyle. I started looking at food in a whole new way and it soon became hard not to notice how the food I ate directly affected my body. However it was the elimination of foods that I once believed to be “HEALTHY” that opened my eyes to a whole new world and a new sense of freedom with real food.
I lost those 75 pounds that I gained almost effortlessly and a little more on top of that. I am in the best shape of my life and enjoying life with my family. We eat real delicious amazing food and you can find us in the mountains hiking, in the lakes and ocean swimming or paddle boarding, riding our bikes in the city or on the trails.
With my Primal Health Coach Certification I now teach people this new way of viewing food and finding freedom from counting calories and excising more. I feel like I know a secret to living a life of feeling amazing, eating good food and enjoying a lifestyle of fitness. I want to share that secret with everybody and help them find and enjoy a lifestyle of eating, moving and living!
